World Book Day 2021

4th March 2021
World Book Day 2021
Thursday, 4th March

Today we held our 'What the Ladybird Heard' World Book Day and the children both at home and at school looked absolutely amazing.
A huge amount of effort and ingenuity had gone into costume ideas as ALL children were dressed as characters from either our Farmyard theme or as characters from their favourite books.
It's wonderful that books still engender so much excitement along with the joy of sharing a story especially at a time that has been so challenging for families.
During the morning we enjoyed activities linked to World Book Day which also included the children learning from home.
The excitement continued to mount through the morning as the children discovered they were not able to enter the hall. In fact, they found a 'Ladybird Doorway' where the entrance should've been!
As we know, Mrs Seymour is a tough act to follow, but Mr. O'Neill and Miss Thompson have really risen to the challenge and absolutely blown us all away today with their creative team work.
The dining hall looked amazing, it was like eating in a barn.
We'd like to say a huge 'THANK YOU' to Mr. O'Neill & Miss Thompson.
We loved it!
Today has given us all a much-needed lift.
Book Aid International
So far, we have raised a wonderful £128.00 for Book Aid International which means 64 books for the children out in Africa.
Thank you again for your continued support and generosity at a time when it is needed more than ever.
