Full Reopening of School - September 2020
After more than 5 months, we are very excited to be welcoming all pupils back to school on Wednesday, 2nd September.
Over the summer holiday we have been busy getting a number of 'jobs' completed to make the school as safe and 'normal' as possible.
All classrooms have had new interactive screens fitted and the old gas heaters removed. This has created more floor space and removed a system that created a very 'dry' atmosphere. Classrooms now look more 'child-friendly' and what you would expect of a small rural First School:
Key Stage 1 - Class 1
Key Stage 2 - Class 2
In addition to the work taking place inside the building, we have also had the outside of the school, shed and fencing repainted and the small picket fence and gate replaced with a new full-height panelled fence and gate. During the school day, this gate can be locked to ensure the safety and privacy of children working and playing outside - something we have been planning for a while.
One thing that has remained the same is the number of signs that you will see around the school site. These are here to help everybody know what they are doing and keep us all safe.
There are three entrances clearly signposted for : EYFS, Class 1 & Class 2 and spaces marked out around the yard and car park for parents collecting their children at the end of the day.
A map showing the organisation of bubbles and zones within the school is also displayed on the noticeboard at the front of the building.
Finally, please remember to read back over the information contained in the Phase 3 Pack that was emailed out to parents at the end of last term. If you can not find this email, the Parent Pack (with map) is also accessible from the Home Page of the School Website along with a detailed whole school risk assessment.
We look forward to seeing you all Wednesday!
