Week 6 - News Round Up!

18th May 2020
This has been the last week of Home Learning before the Half-Term break. Let's hope the sun keeps shining next week when we all have a bit more time to enjoy it!
It looks as if someone has had a wonderfully 'sunny' birthday!
CONGRATULATIONS!
This week, I received some very exciting news from the Hall Household...
They now have a new member of the family...
A gorgeous 8 week old Golden Labrador called Henry!
Apparently, he is proving an excellent 'work partner' - what a lucky dog he is.
As always, you've been working hard on your 'school work' with the help of your parents.  I'm sensing a bit of competition between Mum and Dad School...!
You are all doing a wonderful job, along with your own jobs, and your efforts are greatly appreciated by the teachers.
THANK YOU!
Yet again, the weather has been kind to us. It's lovely to see you continuing to get outside to enjoy our beautiful countryside and the wonderful fresh air.
We know you enjoy practical, hands on activites and this week we've had people making their own snow, producing a 'colouring-in house', painting crockery and helping younger siblings with sticker activities.
Yes! Futures - Self-esteem resources for young people.
Yes Futures is a charity which works with schools to provide intensive support programmes for children struggling with self-esteem and resilience. They have recently launched Home Grown Skills, a completely free resource bank for parents and teachers to support young people's wellbeing and personal development during this difficult period. The series of activity sheets are designed to take between 20-50 minutes each and can easily be adapted for different ages and levels. The resources can be used independently by a child or alongside a teacher or parent/carer. The child will only need a pen and paper and the activities are fun to complete You can access the resources via the link below:
