EYFS - Class 'Birthday' Party
26th November 2020
This half term, Early Years are learning about festivals and celebrations. This week they have been reading ‘Kipper’s Birthday’ and sharing their experiences of birthdays, finishing with a class party!
The children wrote invitations to each other and planned the party games to play, then used their communication skills to explain to everyone how to play musical bumps, statues, chairs and pass the parcel. We are especially proud of the way the children responded to being ‘out’ and cheered on their friends still in the games. We finished off with a special party lunch from picnic boxes the children had decorated themselves.
This was a lovely experience for the children’s personal, social and emotional and language development - and great fun too!
