It's wonderful to be back!

4th September 2020
It has been lovely to get back to 'normal' this week and have everybody back at school. Amazingly, it feels like we have never been away!
On our first day back, we made sure we were clear on all the new rules that are now in place in order to keep us safe. Then we went on to discuss our Class Charter and what we would like our classroom to be like for everyone in it - an extremely important job!
Early Years have had a super first week. It's been lovely for the children to get back to investigating all the exciting areas set up by Mrs. Ainslie and Mrs. English.
Mrs. Ainslie even had a chance to get to the hairdressers and share a cup of tea at the 'cafe'! I'm reliably informed she also had eggs on toast!
The new interactive screen has also proved very popular.
And 'welcome' to our New Nursery pupils who started with us today - Monday, 7th September. They have had a super first day - smiles all round!
Class 1 have had a chance to carry out some self-initiated writing (about fish!) and also start their own Superhero Comic Book.
Class 2 have had great fun investigating the 'preferences' of snails! Looking at which food types they prefer and whether or not they have a favourite colour!
Keeping with the theme of 'living things', the children have also been exploring the alphabet of animal art - developing their own ideas in their sketchbooks.
The staff would like to take this opportunity to extend a huge 'thank you' to all the parents for preparing their children so well for the start of the new academic year. This has truly been a team effort.
