Happy Halloween!

What a fabulous day! The children have been taking part in a Halloween Extravaganza organised by FoSS today. They arrived at school dressed in their most terrifying costumes, armed with beautifully carved pumpkins. 

Mrs English was given the difficult job of judging the pumpkins. She deliberated and inspected until the final decision was made.

The excitement continued as the children were given delicious chocolate apples to enjoy with their milk at morning break. Mrs Seymour also prepared an amazing party lunch. The hall was decorated with spooky tableware. All the children enjoyed the wonderful ‘fancy’ cakes and Halloween themed food.

The pumpkins were placed in a pumpkin trail for the end the day, so that all parents and children could walk round and appreciate the work and effort  that had gone into each and every pumpkin and costume.

First, second and third prizes were awarded to each year group:

Nursery

1st Prize- Grace; 2nd Prize –Charlie; 3rd Prize- Zander

Reception

1st Prize- Leo; 2nd Prize –Dexter; 3rd Prize- Iona

Year One

1st Prize- Oliver; 2nd Prize –Oscar; 3rd Prize- Freddie

Year Two

1st Prize- Robin; 2nd Prize –Joss; 3rd Prize- Tom

Year Three

1st Prize- Ava; 2nd Prize –Hector; 3rd Prize- Angelique

Year Four

1st Prize- Edward; 2nd Prize –Hannah; 3rd Prize- Ella

After enjoying a ‘socially distanced’ walk around the pumpkins the children were all given a party bag to take home. Thank you to FoSS for organising the event and Tesco for donating the wonderful prizes received by the children. We all had a brilliant day!
