The children in Class 2 have been receiving cycle training today from 'Cycle Experience' - an organisation that comes into school to help the children learn some core bike handling skills. This is done through the medium of games and activities.
Cycling brings many health benefits, develops confidence and promotes independence.
At level 1, the children will not be going onto the roads, but this is a vital first step in developing the skill and confidence to do so at a later date after level 2 training which is offered at Middle School.
It has been a perfect day to be outside and we've even had a child ride their bike independently for the first time. Well done!
