A visit from 'Falconry Days' - Class 1

3rd December 2019

Today, ‘Plop’ visited the children in Key Stage One. He brought some friends with him from Falconry Days. The children listened very carefully to all the information shared by Megan, the bird handler, and asked some very searching questions.

We now know, that owls do not have waterproof feathers and they have different eye colour depending on what time of the day they hunt!

We'd like to thank FoSS for funding an excellent visit which supported the work based around our story ‘The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark’ (by Jill Tomlinson).
